Perseverance: persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success

If there’s anything this journey has taught me, it’s how to persevere. And you know what else I’ve learned? Very rarely can you persevere alone.

A huge thank you to Jacen Moore of Roots Sports Medicine for working with me over this past month. His attention to detail, innovation, and work ethic are phenomenal. Super pleased with how things are looking on the track 💪🏾. Anyone in the Phoenix area should definitely check him out!

Keep Chasing Your Dreams

After these past two years, I’ve found myself questioning why I’m still going. Why am I still running? There’s just something deep down inside of me that know’s God’s not done with me yet. He blessed me with this gift of running, and it’s my job to use every single ounce of it. Until I’ve done that, I refuse to give up. What’s your “why?” Figure it out and never forget it! People may try to talk you out of chasing your dream. Shoot, you may even try to talk yourself out of chasing your dream! But as long as you keep going back to your WHY, you’ll find the strength to keep going.

My Testimony

On June 22, 2018, I shared my testimony during Chapel at the USA Track & Field National Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.  This was such a special moment for me because my faith journey actually began back in 2013 at the USA Track & Field National Championships in Des Moines, Iowa.  Never in a million years did I think I would be at a national championships unable to compete, but asked to share my testimony.  It's funny how God operates!  I hope this video not only blesses you, but encourages you to share your story as well!

Surgery Day

On February 8th 2018, I broke my left foot for the second time in less than four months.  I decided to get surgery this time.  Check out this fun, behind-the scenes video of my surgery day on February 16th 2018.

Fresh Start

Shortly after winning the 2014 Indoor World Championships, I signed a four-year deal with Nike.  Unfortunately, starting in January 2018, my sponsorship with Nike is over.  To supplement my income, I have decided to get a part-time job.  Working while training is not new to me.  In 2013 and 2014, leading up to the World Championships, I had two part-time jobs.  Nevertheless, it's still not easy.  If you or anyone you know is interested in sponsoring me, feel free to contact me.   Or, if you'd ever like to donate to my track and field fund, please visit the donation page above.
